What Is UI/UX Design?

UI/UX design is the joint planning of a website’s or app’s visible interface (UI: buttons, colors, typography, icons) and the experience users have with that interface (UX: flow, information architecture, speed, accessibility). The goal is for visitors to find what they need in as few steps as possible and complete a goal such as a quote request, purchase or booking without effort.

Text contrast
4,5:1
Minimum contrast ratio for normal text at WCAG 2.2 AA; 3:1 is enough for large text.
Tap target
24×24 px
WCAG 2.2 minimum target size; for mobile buttons we work with 44–48 px.
LCP threshold
≤ 2.5 s
Loading time for the main content rated “good” in Google’s Core Web Vitals.
Completed projects
380+
Interface experience built up since 2006 across corporate websites, e-commerce and software projects.

Comparison

UI vs. UX: Comparison Table

UI and UX are two sides of the same product; one defines how the screen looks, the other how users reach their goal on that screen. The table below shows the responsibilities of both disciplines side by side.

01What is the difference between UI and UX design?

UI refers to the visual interface of a website or app. UX covers the whole experience users have with that interface. A successful digital product needs to both look good and be easy to use.

02What does UI/UX design do for my website?

It helps users navigate your site more comfortably, understand your services more easily and reach goals such as contacting you, requesting a quote, buying or booking faster.

03Does every website need UI/UX work?

Yes. Whether it is a corporate website, an e-commerce site, a hotel booking system, travel agency software or a custom admin panel, you can lose visitors when the user experience is not designed properly.

04How does the design process work?

First, we analyze needs and the target audience. Then we prepare the page structure, user flows, interface design and mobile responsiveness work. The approved design is handed over to development in a form that fits the software process.

05What is the difference between a wireframe and a prototype?

A wireframe is a colorless skeleton showing a page’s content order and layout; it moves the discussion away from visuals and onto structure. A prototype is a clickable model in which screens are linked together, letting you try flows on a real device before coding.

06How long does the UI/UX design process take?

The timeline depends on the number of unique templates, whether there are multi-step flows such as a cart or booking, the number of test rounds and whether content is ready. How quickly approval rounds move is also a key factor. After the discovery call we share a stage-by-stage timeline.

07What is WCAG 2.2, and does my site need to comply?

WCAG 2.2 is the W3C’s current guideline for web accessibility, with criteria such as contrast, keyboard use, target size and form accessibility. For e-commerce sites selling to consumers in EU countries it may be a legal obligation under the European Accessibility Act; for other sites it is the way to reach a wider audience and ensure error-free use.

08Can you improve the UX of my current site without rebuilding it?

Yes. First we identify the screens causing the biggest losses through analytics and expert review; often, changes at a few critical points such as forms, product pages or menus make a clear difference. If the problems are structural, we propose a phased redesign plan.

09Does UI/UX design affect SEO?

Yes. Because of mobile-first indexing, the experience on phones is evaluated directly; Core Web Vitals, a clear heading hierarchy and a logical internal linking structure are also shaped by design decisions. An interface where users quickly find what they need also helps search engines understand the page better.
